My Hair Care Must-Haves For Soft, Frizz-Free Hair

Back in November I knew I needed a change with my hair. To be totally honest, I hadn’t kept the best care of it since we moved to California (whoops!) and between swimming in the ocean, not rinsing the salt out for hours afterwards, being in the sun a lot, the dry weather, and using heat tools – it was basically a recipe for very straw-like hair. Not a great combo when you already have fine hair!

I wanted to start fresh, so I cut my hair up to my shoulders and have been really mindful about protecting it as I let it grow back out. Making sure I’m using the right products and nourishing it every day is really important. I have a special little hair care system that I’ve been using and I wanted to share with you girls today! I get so many questions about hair products that I use, so now’s the time to lay it ALL out there.

The first product that’s part of my routine is the Nourishing Hair Butter from Hair Food. It’s Sulfate-free, Paraben-free, Mineral oil-free, and Dye-free. The nourishing butter helps deeply nourish hair without weighing it down, leaving it moisturized and shiny. One of the reasons I love Hair Food products is because they also believe that what you put on your hair is just as important as what you put on your body. Just as you feed your body with delicious, nourishing ingredients, your hair is also hungry for REAL nourishment.

I love that the Nourishing Hair Butter is infused with avocado oil and shea butter. Avocado moisturizes while shea butter is rich in Vitamin A and E, and helps to protect and minimize frizz (major factor for me with wavy/curly hair). I use this after I get out of the shower and put it on my hair when it damps before styling!

This Damage Recovery Serum from Hair Food is my secret hair care weapon for strong, healthy, hydrated strands! It revives dry, damaged hair using hemp extract to help tame frizz and Manuka honey that restores hydration.

I apply this after my shower while my hair is still damp as well! If you’re looking for added shine, you can use it on dry hair too!

Between these two products, I know that my hair is getting the nutrients and nourishment it needs to grow out really healthy. Have you tried Hair Food before?
