When it comes to decorating with neutrals, the trick to keeping things interesting is to add texture where you can.
Between the linen couch that falls into a big white cloud on it’s own, the wood grain in the coffee table, the texture from the throw blanket and throw pillow, the wool weave of the area rug, the flicker of a candle, the warm glow of Edison bulbs, the draped window curtains from floor to ceiling – they all add something that grabs your eye and adds dimension and detail to the room, without ever using color.
I’m not against color in design by any means. I actually love it! But I’m more of a muted colors person. I love texture via plaster walls, worn wood, and decor.
